   (Update: Sorry guys! The reason I kept reuploading this was that I wanted to change the category. That meant I needed to delete it. But then, I changed my mind. So, no. The Church of Scientology didn't get me, yet.)

     Hello, guys! I’m Justin Reeder, also known as SuperMarioJustin4.

    This might be the last time you might hear from me. Why? Because I might get sued, blackmailed, or harassed by a certain “religion” I’m going to be talking about. (<-- This quote is somewhat of a joke.)

    It’s called The Church of Scientology. 

    Why am I talking about Scientology? Well,I have watched a show called “Scientology and the Aftermath”.

    It’s a show hosted by “The King of Queens” actress, Leah Remini. Leah was a Scientologist ever since she was born, but after an incident during Tom Cruise’s wedding, she decided to leave. Later on, she starts to find out, from other people who also left the church, that they did awful things to people.

    Before we talk about that, let me give you a little background info.

    Scientology was founded in 1953 by sci-fi writer, L. Ron Hubbard. He based the religion off his book, “Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health”, which is practiced by the church, and since 2010, it was practiced by the Nation of Islam. (One of his other books, "Battlefield Earth", was made into a movie starring Travolta. It was considered one of the worst movies ever made.) After Hubbard’s death in 1986, it is currently run by David Miscavige.

    The church had tax exempt status in 1956, lost it in 1957, brought back in 1964, and lost it in 1968 again, and got it back in 1993, and it's still tax-exempt to this day.

    They promise to send people to the “Bridge to Total Freedom”, a world without insanity, without criminals, and without war. 

    Celebrities such as Tom Cruise (Actor for Mission: Impossible), John Travolta (Actor for Pulp Fiction), Nancy Cartwright (Voice of Bart Simpson, and many other characters in The Simpsons), and Issac Hayes (Singer, and the voice of Chef in South Park) are part of this church. It was said that serial killer, Charlie Manson, joined the church for a bit, but left because he considered it, “too crazy for him”.

    Throughout the years, it has been subjected to multiple controversies. Germany considers it as “anti-constitutional”, and France considers it a “cult”. For me, I consider it WORSE than the organization, Autism Speaks.

    Anyway, let’s talk about their beliefs, and what they do.

    So, what they believe is that they have ‘body thetans’. A ‘body thetan’ is basically a soul that is stuck inside a human’s body and needs to be removed.

  Other religions often tend to tell you the important stuff about it straight away for free, Scientology doesn't. They must go through different “Operating Thetan (OT)” levels in order to become “Clear”, meaning that you are free from all mental illnesses. There are 8 OT levels in Scientology. In order to go higher, you need to be in the church for years, and pay thousands of dollars for classes, one of them is auditing sessions.

    Auditing is where someone gets an E-meter test. The E-meter is a tool Scientologists use to detect thetans. It works like a lie detector test, a person would hold on to two metal cylinders, which are electronically connected to a scale. They would be asked questions, and the needle would move to certain part of the scale when responded, which detects their thetan levels.

    On the 3rd OT level, they reveal what body thetans are. Before I talk about it, let me say one thing in the words of South Park, “THIS IS WHAT SCIENTOLOGISTS ACTUALLY BELIEVE!” Be warned, this origin is one of the most bizzare, crazy origin stories ever made.

    75 million years ago, there was a federation of different planets called the “Galactic Confederacy”, which was ruled over by an evil overlord, named Xenu. 

    After an issue of overpopulation, he sent his troops to kidnap billions of aliens, and have them frozen. The frozen bodies would be taken to Earth (considered Teegeeack back then.) in spacecrafts, which were DC-8s with rocket engines. 

    They would be thrown into volcanoes, and hydrogen bombs would be dropped in them. After the aliens died, their souls would rise into the sky, so Xenu put soul catchers into the sky. They would be taken into a brainwashing facility, where they would be forced to watch 3-D, surround sound movies that give them a false reality. 

    The souls would roam around in confusion, and they find and attach themselves to human bodies, causing them mankind's problems, fears, and illnesses.

    It is often believed that Scientologists worship aliens, but that's not really true. They worship the founder, L. Ron Hubbard (often called LRH) and his 'technology'.

    Weird, I know. But I don’t hate them because of this. But I hate them for how they treat people, including ones in the church. I have a list of some of the worst things they did.

1. Scientology is infamous for its response to criticism. Most religions would just brush insults off, but Scientology doesn’t consider itself a turn-the-other-cheek religion.  They have a rule called “Fair Game”, basically whenever confronted by a “Suppressive Person (SP)”, they should sue, harass, and/or blackmail the SP. A suppressive person is basically their enemies, which includes the people who question the church. They are considered an evil person like Hitler.

2. In 1973, Scientology implemented “Operation: Snow White”. They have sent operatives into 136 Government Agencies to dig personal information of its critics. The info would be used to blackmail the critics in order to silence them.

3. Scientology has a rule called “Disconnection”. Whenever a certain person is a Scientologist, and other family members aren’t, they are forced to separate themselves from the other family members, as they are considered suppressive people.

4. Scientology promises to get people off drugs. But, medicine is still considered “drugs” to them. They also don’t allow people to go to the hospital or doctor. There’s a reason for that. Medical professionals were very negative with Hubbard’s “Dianetics” book, so a rule was created to not support medical professionals, and all treatment must be done by Scientologists. This rule ended up leading to the death of Lisa McPherson in 1995.

5. The Sea Org is a Navy-like organization where they travel across the sea, and do Scientology classes. People must sign a billion year contract (including reincarnation) in order to join.

6. Homosexuality is considered the OT 0, (OT 0 is SP level) the lowest level in Scientology. They never even changed it, despite saying it allows gays. That led to people believing that they are saying that, “Homosexuals are suffering, but they can help fix them”.

7. People were brainwashed into thinking that everything bad happening to them is their own fault, and the good that happened to them is from Scientology.

8. Scientology has been accused of owning a prison camp called, “The Hole”. They are two conjoined trailers. Many ex-Scientologists, such as Mike Rinder talked about it. Rinder was in the church for 50 years, about 25 of them being Executive Director, his job was to silence critics. He escaped after spending time there. They say that people would be cramped, and forced to sleep on the floor or on office desks. They would be given awful food. The electricity would go out, heating up the place. The place is infested with flies and ants. They can’t leave because not only they were brainwashed, but the place is guarded by cameras, razor sharp fences, and security guards roaming the place. 

9. David Miscavige would treat people in The Hole in an inhumane manner. He would beat people up, push people into cold freezing rivers, etc. They have a twisted version of Musical Chairs, the twist is that those who don't have a chair must be forced to leave and lose contact with their family. After the game was over, he states that they are still able to stay in the church.

10. David Miscavige's wife, Shelly Miscavige, has been missing for a long time. Leah Remini left after she was shunned for asking where Shelly was during Tom Cruise's wedding.

11. Mars Volta singer and also ex-Scientologist, Cedric Bixler-Zavala, blamed the church for poisoning his dog. Ex-scientologist, Steve Mango, also said that the church poisoned his two dogs.

12. They use seducing to bait people. According to Mango, they often try to use sexy men and women into joining the Sea Org. But they turned it around, and meet out in public, and loudly show a video about how sex and masturbation is bad. (They used Britney Spears as a bad influence, and since Mango's a fan of her, he refused to join.)

13. Ex-Scientologists have been coming out of other Scientologists raping them, and the accusations keep secret about them. Ex-Scientologists say that they cannot call 911, and they must only call some Scientology help center.

  In conclusion, Scientology is a cult and a scam, and it is ruining people’s lives. The sad part of it is, that this is considered a "tax-exempt religion" in the 21st century. So, I want you to spread the word! Send this message to everyone you know. It can be your teacher, your friends, your family, anybody! Call your congressman, and tell them that Scientology must have its tax-exempt status revoked.
